Whoa, I guess I'm superlucky! :D

I just checked Steamgifts and apparently, I won three giveaways in a row! And even all by the same person. :D
He gave 4 copies of every game away, though, which made my chances bigger, but it's also quite generous. :)

The chances to win for the three giveaways were (ca.):

  • 0.06667
  • 0.01498
  • 0.01163

So, the chance to win all of the three giveaways is (I hope I didn't make a silly math mistake):

0.000001613, i.e. 0.0001613%

Thus, I could also watch the rad gif you get to see when winning a giveaway. (check out the gif below) :D

if there were 4 copies, you need to multiply by 4.

Fro example:http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/s9UcT/scourge-outbreak like 100/344*4=1.16%, if I'm not wrong.

I just did 4/344, which is basically 1/344 * 4.

4/344 is 0.011, that's wrong. When calculating a percent chance you need the 100 instead of that 1, 1 is for probability,, but its like taking the whole thing as 1, instead of 100.

Yes, it is 0.011 and I wrote down 0.01163 which is 1.163%.

ah yeah then I just didn't saw it D:

That example you put "0.000001613, i.e. 0.0001613%" is just confusing, too many zeroes, even if its correct.

No problem. :) I usually always calculate the probability in decimal numbers and when I have the end result, I convert them to get the percentage. And yeah, I agree, it can be quite confusing with that many zeroes.^^
