I didn't even know those were supposed to be colored. I have only seen them in black and white. I just opened this page in a different browser because you said that and they are in color. I'm glad I don't see the colors :)

I lost my job due to a downsizing operation last week. Which kinda sucks and doesn't fit into this thread at all you'd think.
But:
- I've been considering getting a new job over the past few years anyway, deciding against it mostly because I enjoyed the company of my colleagues so it's not too bad. All the same, that helps take the sting out of things a bit.
- I'm getting a really good severance package which means that financially I'll still be ok for a while in the worst case scenario. That's a comfort too.
- And apparently I've been able to build quite a reputation as various folks are already approaching me with new job offers, even before I've started hunting for something myself.
So yeah, bad situation, but with a bit of luck I can completely turn this around and come out better in the end. Meaning everyone's a winner. (Well, mostly me. Not so sure about my ex-employer, but hey, that's not my problem anymore.)
Lesson to be learned: Sometimes being positive isn't where you are right now, it's where you can be in the near future.

I've noticed a rising amount of negative posts and threads lately on SG. From sad and gloomy topics to rants and angry posts, it just makes me feel slightly depressed.
To counter the negativity, I created this 100% positive thread! The one rule of this thread - think and post positively!
