Not sure if it is still the case, but I think the sgtools site, or the hosting domain, blocks users from some regions. So, it might not be usable by everyone.
Extra hint after activating a win. After recieving a key and activating it on your Steam account, go back to the giveaway page on Steamgifts and click on the image of the game. It will take you to the Steam store page for the game that was given away. If it is the correct game, it should state that you have the game in your library - i.e. it checks that the app of the game you received and the giveaway match - good for games with similar titles.

Perhaps something should be added about screenshots, SG Game pages and the Giveaway Archive?
Screenshots
Interested in what a game looks like but don't want to visit Steam? Click the camera icon next to each giveaway (next to the Steam link, SG Game page link and hide giveaway) to see the screenshots AND videos (see top right when viewing screenshots).
SG Game Page
You can view the SG Game page by clicking the magnifying glass on a giveaway (next to the Steam link, screenshot link and hide giveaway).
SG has its own AppID for each game, eg. https://www.steamgifts.com/game/0rVbW/v-rally-4
But you can also use the Steam AppID (app/658700) on SG as well, eg. https://www.steamgifts.com/app/658700
This can be useful if you want to look at a SG Game page for a game that hasn't been given away yet.
Giveaway Archive
Available in the footer of every SG page, under Browse.
Essentially the same as the SG Game page, it shows less info but, by default, also shows Deleted Giveaways.

trying to make a list for new users here. feel free to add below and i will add to the list. looking for things that are not in the rules/guidelines
DO NOT bring up/use the text steamgifts, won, or giveaway on steam! this can trigger a full community ban.
https://www.sgtools.info/activation can be used to check your winner to see if they have followed the rules. its not always right, but it has been 99% of the time for me.
Make Your Own Search Parameters https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/1kgzB/new-search-parameters
every single giveaway is made up of 5 random characters followed by /name of game example https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/12345/name of game. people use the 5 characters to hide giveaways for puzzles. you only those 5 characters and the / put at the end of https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/ to access them. they can only be numbers and English letters both upper case and lowercase
if you hover your mouse over Gifts Won/Gifts Sent on a players steamgifts profile you can see the number of Received, Full Value, Reduced Value, No Value, Not Received games
if you hover your mouse over the Gifts Won $$$/Gifts Sent $$$ you can see a ruff guess of the Real contributor value/received value. this takes into account if games have been free, in bundles, on deep% sales. its not super accurate, but its far more on the money than the other numbers.
if you blacklist someone before a giveaway ends, it does not remove them from the giveaway. they can still win it
people can and will blacklist you for any reason
asking why you were blacklisted, is gonna get you blacklisted more
9.4 if you run into a community event train cart and the creator has blacklisted you or you them, open the link in a private browser. it will now display everything allowing you to see the link for the next cart.
trying to contact winners https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/8lAqd/changes-for-unresponsive-winners
say thanks after you win a giveaway
saying thanks on every giveaway makes you looks like a bot and sends a notification to the creator every single time you do it
Thanks for skyrim/badrats. when solving a puzzle both running jokes
if you delete a giveaway you will lose 1 giveaway slot.
you more successful giveaways you do, the more you can have running at any one time
if you want more giveaway slots you can contact a mod. some game devs have to ask for more to giveaway 500+ of a new game they made. im not sure how you do this
you will almost always lose contributor value overtime as game values are adjusted. this is usually because they weren't at the proper value when you game them away.
DLC's/Bundles will let you join them even if you fully own them.
Tiny eye icon with the line through after the name of the game that will blacklist the game/dlc so none of the giveaways for it will show up
If The Pricing Is More Than 15% On Steam You Likely Can't Gift Them
