How come no one posted how his simple english might more be the problem than what is being said?

Is it so tough to use torrents to download shitty games
Shitty games (even AAA+) could be downloaded for free. Why try winning them?
Nope. promoting piracy is against the rules, and there is no doubt the user was attemting to say pirate games vs. trying to win them here.

Nope what? Shouldn't be too hard, paraphrasing what he wrote into sentences
that won't get you suspended, but still have the same meaning - dictionary pls.
The way he put it is too straight forward and probably unknowingly offensive - (simple).

I don´t want to make piracy look better, I want to make your argument of lower mentality because of his nationality look incorrect :-P o/

Well read my comment again and please explain at which point exactly I said anything about his nationality and not him as a person (I used US and EU because he asked about these places. I don't give a shit if he's from Russia, Argentina, China, Zimbabwe or Narnia).

ah ok without the reference to his post it sounds a bit harsh, but now i got it xD
Thanks for pointing that out :-) have a nice one

I try not to buy or give away "shitty games". But being retired and only having social security I'm limited in the amount I can spend. I do my best.

Be angry at the developers of the really shit ones, or at Valve not setting a minimum bar for new games. Some friends of me just like trashy games like some people love B-category movies, but I don't know why someone enters for the *really* bad ones. Personal taste, +1, or cards, if I have to guess.

We already started that here: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/hywcU/why-people-giveaway-indie-shit#2kZmFI9

1.- leftovers are love, leftovers are life.
2.- no all indie games are "shitty" and no all AAA games are cool games.
3.- if all people come to think like that and get the game for "free" then no one will buy videogames and then no one will make them.
4.- remember all are free to like and have any game they like and everyone should respect that.

60$ game release marketed and supported for years by one of the biggest corporations on the planet (Sony)? ;p
Jokes aside I do not consider it indie, it had whole Sony standing behind it, marketing it, giving it main floor at E3, pumping lots of money into it - hard to call something like it "independent", the whole "we're just small indie team" I see as an excuse, aka "you should not be mad at us for lying and not delivering, after all we're just indie company, you love indies, don't you? so you cannot hate us!"

care to explain why, because I did explain why not, you don't explain why yes, just saying "yes because I say so". to paraphrase you Even if you consider it to be indie it is not.
Indie mean independent, independent from big studios, big publishers, big money associated with all mainstream gaming media. And NMS was no independent in any of these aspects.

So Hello Games could spend all their time and budget for development, instead of reserving a large part for distribution and marketing. Indirectly resulting in them being able to afford a larger budget for development, with the help of Sony.
Imho neither AAA or indie fits for NMS, it's somewhere in between.

Also they would never be able to afford marketing on such a scale Sony provided. Thanks to Sony they were shipping basically millions of preorders, making said budget times bigger thst they would ever be able to accomplish as totally independent studio. NMS in its form would not even be possible to be created as sn indie game because it would have budget few times smaller.

i tend to agree with this.. it was way too funded to be considered just indie. sure the entire team were indie developers prior to this title, but this title (was supposed to of) change(d) that. if you consider everyone who was a indie dev prior to a big break, then microsoft is also a indie company.

+1, Joe Danger games were clearly an indie games, as they were developed totally independent. NMS development was funded by Sony, game was marketed by Sony, released with Sony help, even parts of development (like testing and porting) were done or supported by sony not to mention all technology funded by Sony. Thus NMS was an AAA game developed by studio that used to make indie games and it was their first non-indie game. And probably the last one :D:

They giveaway them because they cheap and there are some strange people that think that ration of won/given games is important.
They enter those giveaways because even shitty games have steam cards. Or just want +1 to the library counter, why not?
The real question is - why are you asking questions, when answers are more then obvious?
Comment has been collapsed.
I only like indie shit, bring on the 1 point giveaways!

Why you collecting games on steam if you think so? O.o

I usually have games I really want on wishlist (very few), and if custom wishlist was possible here, I'd do a version of "games that look interesting and I'd like to try sometime, but there's no rush". But it's not possible, so blacklist it is.
And that's kind of what I hope to find here, whether indie puzzle games or something bigger.
Oh and there's that feeling of gambling :)

Personally, I give away shitty indie games because I don't like them.

I only give away games that I like, but let people decide for themselves what they give away. I find it kind of ridiculous OP got suspended for this tho. It's not like he's encouraging ppl to pirate games, he's just stating the obvious and being a jerk.
Comment has been collapsed.
Today I learned that promoting piracy can actually get you suspended, at least if you're blatant about it instead of making it into a proper discussion by taking a neutral position.
About OP's question, I believe that the only way to determine if a game is shitty or not is to play it first, and I'm too lazy to try every single game before giving it away. So I'm sorry if someone got a shitty game from me, but I'm not really sorry.

Why do ppl pay for stuff that I think is bad basically huh ...
Maybe cause different people have different opinions.... Tho I would get how you may miss that fact living in Russia and all .
Jokes aside that topic would be bad even as a shitpost or clickbait .... Actually being serious about it it's just plain stupid .
Let's take skyborn for example , was given away for free on mass few times , a lot of ppl think it's shitty epgmaker game . I actually loved it , and I insta bough echoes of aetheria since it was by the same guys .
Just cause you don't like a game doesn't instantly make it bad for everyone .
And just cause you pirate stuff on mass doesn't mean you should just come here and question people who actually pay for stuff .
