So I just dug out my copy of FFX and am currently fiddling in PCSX2 to see.how well I can get it running. I've decided to go all XCOM and name my team after you lovely individuals. So what I need now is you to vote for who gets to be who.

For obvious reasons Rikku is taken. That leaves everyone else.

Name your companions in FFX? But you can only re-name Tidus Retardicus, right?

Maybe. I don't really remember but if so I guess that kills that plan.

If i'm not mistaken, you can change main character name (and I think they let you change that name because is never pronounced) and the Aeons' names. Its something.

You have right there ! :) Tidus and the Aeons is the only name you can edit! Currently playing FFX!

FFX Remastered is supposedly coming to Steam as a heads up. Might be worth waiting for a cleaner experience, and HD Lulu tiddies.

Oh god I hope so. FFX is my favourite out of the bunch.

Steam is getting pretty on-point lately. Getting MGS5 on Steam and GTAV (although delayed) were huge turning points for PC gaming. It's wishful thinking, but if we got XIV on PC, and VII remake, I'd flip a fucking nut.

fair enough! only have the PS4 due to Final Fantasy! but gotta say that there are some other good games on there aswell, but as everything is coming over to PC (IOF XIV and VII remake comes to pc) the PS4 is long gone! xD

I'll just replay it again then too.

Can't argue with that.

I would lose it if that happened. I spent hundreds of hours in FFX as a kid. To reexplore that, preferably on a PC remaster...drool. I still remember doing all the crazy things to unlock everyone's Ultima weapon. That lightning dodge was the bane of my existence.

It's definitely in Steamdb as of last week, we're just waiting for a release date/official announcement at this point. But I'm with you on that, FFX was a major highlight for both me and my brother when we were kids. Nostalgia overload.

yeah, now with plastic looking characters...

FFX with pcsx2 looks already good. (hint: don't run it in native resolution, just scale it up :D)

Ich. I get that emulation is a lot more reliable than back in the day, but still. Haven't really been drawn back to it since joytech fried the touchpad drivers on my first laptop. I'd rather just wait and get to achievementwhore on Steam. Never played the remastered to notice a "plastic" look, but given the option, I'm sure I'd still choose it over the original.

I like how many JRPG actually making it way to steam, I heard Disgaea is also coming to steam. Maybe they should add Persona and Suikoden to that list?

Considering we just got Guilty Gear, and BlazBlue is coming next year, Persona might also make an appearance to stay relevant with other fighting games, which could also be good news for it's JRPG counterpart. Nothing but good news these past few months for Steam releases.

Didn't know Xrd was coming to steam and it's also selling really cheap.

Yeah, it's doing pretty well, too. A bunch of other huge FG titles have been announced to arrive on Steam in the coming months, also. Probably more to come if the feedback is positive, which is obviously will be.

My ex bought me FFX + X-2 HD for birthday. The remaster is real, the game looks awesome in HD.
My problem is I can't force myself to play X-2. This just sucks a lot... :/

I remember buying X-2 instantly when it came out because of how much I loved X. Was super hyped, despite the fact Lulu was replaced by wannabe Paine. Started up the game and knew it was downhill right from when the intro was Yuna singing in some ridiculous pop concert. That said, I'll probably play it once it comes to Steam just as a testament to the fact I never got past the first 30 minutes back in the day and I want to actually give it a clean run.

It looks pretty good emulating it on the laptop. Sure I'd get much better results on the desktop but I'm quite often stuck in work waiting for a delivery or other such hld ups so the laptops a better option for me. Plus I was never overly keen on the Playstation controller design.

I quite enjoyed X-2. The battle system is pretty fun. Just turn the Dress-sphere swap animations to quick or off and you're good.

If you're playing on PC, I'm sure there's some way to edit character names. I feel like you could probably edit character names on PS2 if you had a game shark or something.

I completed FFX when it came out for PS2. The only chance of a replay would be if the remaster coming to Steam is real.
