The reboot? Freaking awesome FPS! Still need to beat it though. Only put it down to enjoy some RPG games. :)

Classic - Great game, worth playing if you are a fan of Duke Nukem 3D.
Reboot - This is what Duke Nukem Forever should have been, with more explorations and enjoyable gameplay.

Duke Nukem has a very dumb story, the Saints Row IV story is even better.

DNF story wasnt the problem, it was the dull and boring, nothing like duke3d, gameplay that killed that game

The gameplay was fine, but it was too bloody linear. Not a drop of exploration. The Shadow Warrior reboot also suffered in that, but it still has secrets in each level to find.

Good luck with the refund.

tbh the shadow warrior reboot caught me by surprise! it's probably my favorite "new" old-school shooter. Excelent gameplay with great humor!! I'll highly recomend the game.
I hope you can get it soon.

Sorry for the wall of text...

The new one's not bad, not bad at all, but it's definitely not as good as the original, or at the very least, a whole lot different, it's not the result of nostalgia goggles either as I missed out on the original at the time, only got to play it last year.

As far as the reboot goes, it's is a nice game, the Sword combat is fantastic, they brought back good old health packs and amour, the game's fast paced, you can carry all the weapons at once, there are secrets (some a little bit to obvious) it's humorous and doesn't take itself too seriously.

...but that's where the "oldschool" feel ends; For one it's incredibly linear and makes the mistake of believing that "oldschool" means throwing multiple enemies in your face in an arena after arena like format, it lacks the exploration and brilliant map design from the original and the intelligent enemy placement; Yet another problem with the game has to do with the weapons, besides the sword, everything else is nearly useless or a chore to shoot with as they lack impact, feel underpowered...

This presents what could be a problem, let's say, if you stick to a single weapon in a game like Serious Sam (which is the format the Shadow Warrior reboot is going for), you wont last long as you must constantly switch between different weapons to deal with different threats... Here however, you'll be taking advantage of that Sword and that Sword ONLY throughout the entire game.

Still, if you enjoy games like Serious Sam, Pain Killer, Hard Reset... then the Reboot's for you, but if you're expecting an experience the likes of Doom, Duke3D, or, well, the original Shadow Warrior, you might end up a bit disappointed.

Repetitive, I can't finish it.It gets really boring after 3 hours, spamming mouse clicks aren't my thing.

Great game though, really fun for couple of hours.

Doesn't like spamming mouseclicks - has over 1k hours played in a MOBA. Fascinating.
