The Slaughtering Grounds
Please unban
Jokes aside I aware only a few games that looked interesting AND I know they were removed or purchase-blocked, so I may be off from the "objectively best" removed game.
So - Alpha Protocol. Very much likely not the best, but still a loss of not being able to purchase this unique game.

I'll go with Deadpool (because few others were already mentioned)... Ye, definetly Deadpool đ

I believe it was (already again in retail) Alice: Madness Returns, however I am not so sure.

You can still buy row key for ~1 dollar on some specific digital markets.

That's why it has such a weird key format and it's so unique?..
Thanks!
And yeah.. +1 Another great one

IMO, the game was fine, nothing special, but far from horrible. Didn't help that I saw so many people complaining about the game and comparing it to Call of Duty when it was quite obviously a stealth game. I don't think any of them knew how to play stealth games. -_-
Then again, after opinions for Vampire Rain which were very similar (I shot this vampire with my pistol and died every time, after completely ignoring being told to use stealth to avoid vampires which are significantly stronger than humans, why can't I Solid Snake my way through this game?), I really shouldn't be surprised.

Checked its score on Metacritic only today, it's at 38% - hence the "kinda terrible" :)
The only thing I really remember from the game that it was easier to get grabbed by a walker and QTE-kill them, than actually avoiding/fighting them. So it was good to hear an opinion from someone who actually played it, I had zero interest in it, so it fell heavily under my radar. Literally the "you don't know what you missed out" level :P

No, I really enjoyed playing stealth through the game, played pirate version when I was a kid, then bought it recently on black market for 33 euros to play again, no regret. I found no bug on my father's computer before or myself nowadays.
But I can't afford spidermans, the prices are for collectors only.

There's a chance this can come back or be remastered. Since MS will own Bethseda AND Activision.

The thing is that unless there's some complicated licensing issue preventing the game from coming back the good games tend to come back at some point, or are available to buy somewhere else. If they're old enough sometimes you can simply get a physical copy.

I'd say Prey, but someone else already mentioned it.
Another one would be James Bond 007: Blood Stone.

I forgot about this one, I regret not buying it before it was retired from store...

I won't deny that the first NWN was craptacular
Does not compute. The first game was (and still is) amazing.

Nope, I'm talking about the main game (and expansions). Perhaps it's a matter of perspective, but the original NWN was pretty much universally loved by the D&D crowd and was rather decorated with reviews/awards. BioWare had taken their formula from Baldur's Gate and expanded upon it profoundly. User generated tools were just icing on the cake. The d20 3.0 system certainly had its flaws, but that's not really a reflection of the game itself.
Ironically, the sequel that you praise as decent was met with a horrible initial reception. It wasn't until after a year of bugfixes that the game was even considered playable on most systems. Only later did it go on to become seen as a gem.

I was a fan of Baldur's Gate when it was new, enjoyed all the infinity engine games. I also ended up enjoying the flawed (and very buggy) Temple of Elemental Evil. But NWN just bored me to tears. I found the level design to be pretty dreadful, the lack of a party to work counter to the strengths of D&D 3.X (you basically had to go with the rogue companion unless you yourself were one, and a the classes and spells/abilities were largely balanced around having a party of 3-6, which made some really suffer in NWN) and the story to be uninspired at best.

PlatinumGames's Transformers: Devastation is not a bad Platinum games, comparing to like.. khem... Legend of Korra but.. end of licenses, both of them you can't buy anymore on Steam or anywhere but keyshops for crazy prices.

Yea I ended up paying $95 for a copy of Transformers: Devastation for Steam. Could have got the DLC too but that would have more then doubled the price -_-

This one I never understood since they made a remaster but it was console only. It always felt like it was going to be ported over but it just never happened :/.

Maybe calling them "best" is a bit of a stretch since they're extremely niche- but I'm still kinda salty that the Gundemonium trilogy aren't available for purchase anymore. I haven't played too many Bullet Hell games to really compare, but I liked these ones quite a lot. Rockin' Android is a really crappy publisher... <.<

I picked up Gundemonium Recollection a while ago on Steam when I was on a 'get all the delisted Steam games I want' purchasing binge :p
Seemed like the best of the three. The other two are thankfully not that rare yet, so anyone who wants them can still get keys for low prices if they know where to look.

Auto-explanatory. Games that once were on Steam, but they're not anymore.
Which of those games do you think were the best ones? Do you still play them? Is there still a legal way to play them?
Please, try to mention any other beside Rocket League if Rocket League is your first option.
