Best game developer?

Paradox Interactive comes to mind, but I think several indie developers rank higher up.

I like Bethesda due to having quite a few games as my favourites from them (Mainly the obvious: The Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3+).

Though honestly, I think Rockstar should defiantly be acknowledged - It's one of those companies we all know, but when thinking of Game Developers, we seem to miss. I've been playing GTA since I was a kid (Starting with the top-down birds eye view 1 and 2 + London 1969), as well as following games like Max Payne since it was released - used to watch my Dad play it.

I do think an honourable mention should go to NCSoft and especially Dark Souls. They actually listened to the fans about make a PC version, AND upon disappointment that it was going to be GFWL - they decided to add the option of Steam.

Kidding aside, the best game devs in my opinion are: Valve, Epic Games, and Square Enix. Valve because of their community support, Epic because if it wasn't for them, half of the gaming industry wouldn't exist and with this power, they don't monetize like shitty companies COUGH EA, IW, etc. COUGH, and Square Enix because they make amazing games, sure, they also make a lot of bad ones, but nothing will ever replace the Final Fantasy series, even if the newer installments weren't as good as the older ones.
