so I was tasked by the brass at the puzzle palace to protect Helios One, a stupid idea if you ask me

suddenly a stranger appears wearing leather armor with a weird floaty robot by his side

he asks me to let him in

I tell him that this is restricted NCR territory

he walks around the corner of the building to where he was out of sight

literally no less than 5 seconds later he comes back from around the corner wearing an NCR uniform

he walks right by me, and without even stopping to talk, he says that he's with the NCR and was ordered here as reinforcements

without another word he simply lets himself in to the power plant

I stand there dumbfounded, wondering what the hell just happened

I thought about pursuing him and arresting him, but I figured what the hell damage could he do to a power plant that's already broken down

later on

chilling round McCarran, shooting the breeze and waiting for the coming battle for the dam

emergency call comes in over the radio, a private contractor with NCR needs help and we are selected to go

my squad heads down to old vault 19 to help out

it's the same fucking guy from Helios One

he's not wearing anything at all, just jumping around and flying on jet

a dozen powder gangers and deathclaws are attacking him at the same time

my squad takes a few halfhearted shots at the powder gangers, but we're wasting our ammo

this dude is smashing them with an old car differential and they all explode into bloody chunks

we stop firing when they are all dead, the outside of the vault looks like a meat processing plant

that guy just runs off, stoned out of his mind on chems

such is life around New Vegas
