I made a private giveaway, but it was my fault.
Is there any chance to delete it?
Or what will be with game if timer goes out?

If you wait until it runs out and dont share the link you can start a new public giveaway for the same gift right now, because no one else will win in your private giveaway ;-)

Wait. Is that the way it works--only the giver receives points for a private giveaway? That seems like a major loophole in the system. Someone could generate a ton of private giveaways and never give out the links, thereby creating a lot of free points for themselves.

Maybe I misunderstood...

There are no points generated with a private giveaway. Not for the Creator and not for anyone else. I asked CG about it the other day :)
