I think it means that the user giving the game away has not viewed the key yet in their IndieGala account and once they create the giveaway they can no longer view it. That way IndieGalla can guarantee that the key is valid.

I just found about it yesterday because I got an email. You get 10 points per hour and can hold up to a max of 240.

People will probably farm games from Indie Gala now because they have no rules on owning games/ multiple accounts or anything like that to prevent it. Then they will probably give them away here.
I'm not sure if it's new, but it seems like it. I don't even think they have a way of removing yourself from a giveaway if you enter by accident or don't want the game anymore.
It also looks like you can dump all your free game keys there and get credit for them. That must be why there is a huge number of giveaways for games that were free.

And to complicate that problem farther, there is no way to check if a key is valid without using it. People are going to enter for anything they can there and then try to give it away here. These people are going to win invalid keys from Indie Gala and not know it till they give them away here and get not received feedback for an invalid key.

Won't be worth the effort as about the only games you'll find there are the free ones that aren't allowed here. Last time I checked the only non-free game was Shadows of Mordor which Indie Gala were giving away themselves
