Easy yes.
I'm gaming less and less every year. Other hobbies are slowly taking over.
I've been gaming for 35 years :O
Not planning on stopping but it wouldnt be too hard.

Loophole: computer games =/= console games. In that case, I'll take the money.

Consoles are basically computers, just bad ones.

But to be honest - gaming is a huge time waster.. Despite enjoying the time doing it I don't think its the best way to spend the time.. at least for me.. I wouldn't mind if I could spend more time reading, doing sports or other more productive hobbies... I have a project car sitting unfinished for years ... Imagine if I spent the time gaming on fixing up the car...

So 100k would be lifechanging for someone living in country which has around 13k average yearly salary. So probably yes

Is it really worth it?

well.. I think for me it would be yes. But I understand why some would consider it a time waster as well.

Im an engineer myself and I love cars enormously. One of my dreams is to open a workshop that builds project cars, rally cars etc. The one I have is rather rare and actually my ever first car so a lot of sentimental value. And it would be a great start into building projects.. I already have plan of two projects just from this very car which involves engine swapping and some major welding. And what do I do? https://store.steampowered.com/app/520950/DRIFT21/ <- I play a game like this and build racing cars inside the game :D

Also I won Ride2 some time ago here on SG ... been playing and enjoying it thoroughly....... but I want to get license for bike in real life.... Instead of booking lessons and going to school I am riding bikes in game.. While its definitely a cool pastime when you love something, I feel these things take away time from actually doing this stuff in real life.

Gaming it's a hobby, so with other words, a CHOICE, so my answer for this pool is NO.
I have alot of hobbies, and I don't plan to give up on them (besides gaming, there is reading, fishing, drawing, painting, making dreamcatchers and the list goes on, not even for money 😉 ). And I make time for all of them.

Hmmmm, stop the one thing that still manages to sometimes distract me from the hopelessness in exchange for an amount of money which, in today's world, can't really be used to achieve (fix) anything of meaning?
The only scenario I can think of in which I'd take this deal is if I'm already planning to die as soon as possible and would like to give the money to those around me as a sort of "I am so sorry for giving you survivor's guilt!" compensation (honestly, it'd still be barely anything... but also a lot more than what my "life" is worth)... So, yeah, who do I contact in order to accept and where do I pick up the money? :D

Ehh, I would be able to pay a lot of bills and maybe buy a house here in the south, but it wouldn't be enough to make a big difference in the long run. I'm dirt poor but I'd have to think about it a lot.

While the money would be helpful, it is not enough for me to give up games forever. If it were not being able to play for 2 years (or even 3 or 4), then we'd have a deal.

The more I grow old, the more I try to avoid electronic and IT stuff...so with 100 000 $ I can buy some farm animal and enjoy life.

I like gaming but it's not my main passion or hobby. I already have a lot of other projects that are more important to me. I'm definitely taking the money.

BUT if you have to remove using computers altogether, that's a big no.

Hmmm add a zero and then maybe? But I'm still not sure. I could well be gaming for another 50 years, and that million will be long gone by then.

how's that enforced? what if I did try to game after I took the money?
as most people seem to point out - you put the bar too low. Sure, 100k is no nothing, but it won't last you a lifetime! Games however, games are forever

No. It's not enough to find another entertainment. 5 mil would be ok. 10 mil and I'm sold.

Unsure if this would be possible for me, as i see as life overall as a game.

Meh... it does not worth it. 100.000 dollars may sound much but is it really? Especially this day and age? :/ And anyway, I would miss too many awesome experiences. So its a no either way.
