You don't get any invites and you have to use enable the beta updates in the steam client (just read the family sharing FAQ on the official group).
To share your games, you have to verify your friend's computer by loggin onto your account on his machine once - after that you can ahre your games with him.

Ok, I did all that, and I am able to play his Tomb Raider now on my account, although, he doesn't get access to play my games.

So I got an email from Valve/Steam welcoming me to the Family Sharing Beta.
Do I get a beta invite in my inventory or what? and how do I access the Family Sharing?
