Nexon games are region restricted though so you might want to check that first.

Same, I had to use a proxy to play, then I stopped because it just wasn't worth the trouble of finding a fast one every day.

I wouldn't recommend that. The game was really fun even for F2P players but it was couple of years ago. Now it's way different game and it's not that fun... They ruined it imo.

WoW is nice for the 20 levels you can play F2P. The entire game is very good, if you have time and money to spare. Or you can share an account with willing family/friends, it's what I do and we all love the game.

Dungeon & Dragons Online, also the new Neverwinter is quite fun. Or the recently released F2P Rift. Lord of the Rings online also is quite good, especially if you love the lore.

Not free but no monthly fees. Try Guild Wars 2. Pay once like a regular game, play forever! Also no forced ads or a must to pay for proper stuff.

There is no such thing as as Great MMORPG and F2P in one sentence. Cash Shop & microtransactions ruin an MMMORPG.

If you're willing to play in P2W enviroment with (micro)transactions then it's better to focus more on playing thing called real life instead.

Not always, while Guild Wars 2 isn't an F2P its micro transactions work quite well without being P2W.

I don't agree, althrough it all depends on your definition on p2w in first place.

Well my definition of P2W is the ability to buy items that give you an obvious advantage over players, so the game essentially boils down to those who spend money do better than those that don't. Usually said items are only available in the cash shop and are completely unobtainable to those that don't pay. Did I hit the nail on the head? What's your definition? Because by mine Guild Wars 2 is far from P2W.

In fact, he's not just willing to do it, he loves it. This is someone who wants every advantage money can buy to compete with the other folks. This is someone who buys every cosmetic item a game has to offer, precisely so that you, the other players, will see it and know that he's got what you don't have. He is the ultimate 'whale', buying all sorts of frivolous crap because frankly, he can, and I'm sure F2P shops love him for it.

But here's the truth of it - the fact that he can throw money at a game and have an advantage in it, or even just rub that money in my face while playing (with his ultra-shiny beam gun of super-sparkly zappiness that may functionally work the same as my dull grey pistol) makes those games suck for me.
This is a citation from an article. Not my own words, but they show good what I mean.

"I don't want my gaming to be about highlighting life's financial inequity. I damn well live that all day long in my normal life. I don't want my gaming success impaired by my reasonable income and a realistic life balance of spending on necessities vs recreation. I'm a competitive completion-centric gamer, and when I play something, I want to do it well and thoroughly. The ordinary nature of my normal life shouldn't be hampering my gameplay!"

Cosmetics and convenience is as pay to win as stats items. People care for looks or easiness so much that they're willing to either fork out alot of money for it or to work for long hours, days, weeks or even months to get those things. Exactly like for stat items. Pay2Win don't have to mean "winning" in some kind of direct combat or structured ranking.

By that in MMORPGs practically all microtransactions are p2w for me.
