(Weird...my previous comment disappeared!)

I have the majority of the Fighting Fantasy books (as well as Sorcery! and Clash of the Princes), but I have never played any of the computer games based on the series. Are they any good? :)

The Steam Gamebooks by Tin Man Games are just like the originals except with animated dice rolls/music/achievements and you don't have to write anything down. This new one however adds extra characters etc and is a bit more like a turn-based RPG. I haven't played it yet though.

I'd be interested in reading what you think of it when you do play it, combatbeard. :) It does look interesting, though. I'm just surprised that they didn't make the first game based off of the first book in the series!

I can remember the books from when I was a kid, especially this one. didn't even realise they had been adapted to computer games, guess I'll be adding a few entries to my wishlist :)

I never knew about this book series....or even the game series although I have seen one or two of the games individually and did play/complete one of them (and enjoyed it). I am glad to see more and this one looks even more involved and graphical.

This might be a weird thing for me to ask, but as I am not well versed in this genre would anyone agree that it is similar to being a single-player Dungeons & Dragons game?

Maybe in a way, but nowhere near the complexity.

They're more along the line of a "chose your own adventure" style of book, combined with some dice rolling .

I'm going to wait for a sale on this one, but I think I've demonstrated my love for Fighting Fantasy-style adventures in the past with my two trains inspired by the structure found in those books.

Sorry for the necro-bump, but I have a question about the game.

The Goblin Scourge DLC ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/324740/ )is currently 60% off on Steam. Does anyone know if that is the largest discount Steam has had for it? The reason I am asking is that isthereanydeal doesn't seem to want to load up for me. It hasn't worked in 2 days now.

According to IsThereAnyDeal.com it appears that 60% is the lowest price it has every been.

Huh! I wonder why the site isn't loading for me? I tried both Chrome and IE.

I honestly don't know. All the other sites I've went to have worked fine, just not that one.
