Letting a difference of opinion escalate into an all out flame war is just silliness. Everyone has different views, preferences, dislikes, etc. To become upset and lash out at another person for thinking something differently than you just makes you look ignorant, and will usually end badly for you.

To put it a bit more crudely:

Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has them, and if you flaunt them around everywhere, you're going to get fucked.
