You know. I listened to that and I couldn't help but think, that's what music used to sound like before everything went digital.

Not the actual music, but the quality with it skipping bits and having hiss in the background etc.

Are you sure it's the type of music you're into, or are you just wanting the imperfections of 'perfect' music we've been accustomed to the last decade. I know listening to a lot of 'rock' and 'pop' music, the sound has become so perfect and without error, even down to the notes we hear that it sounds almost generic to listen to.

Personally, I'm more of a happy hardcore kinda guy, so I don't really have any rights to say :p

thats actually the reason why i like burial. the static sound the drums skip, the repetition, and the sound samples makes his music really atmospheric for me as weird that might sound.
its not that im a fan of his music or anything, its just that i´ve never seen anything original when it comes to dubstep, even though i couldnt exactly classify it as that.

My favorite dubstep composer is Chopin...you probably never heard of him. (⌐□_□)

If i asked for dubstep or "noise garbage" to quote Takatsuki doesn't mean i don't like or never heard of classics. You'll say i'm overacting; --" .So. I heard of Chopin. I listened to Chopin.

+1 I used to LOVE Kill Paris. Especially his bass, so original. I'm not such a huge fan anymore but I still like his tracks.

I don't really listen to the genre, although I have a bunch of hardstyle and gabber songs. Perhaps NNN for the hardstyle, Crookers for the sort of trap, Ottiki&Charlotte for the kind of drumstep.

The real music needs:

  • Vocal
  • Sound
  • Meaning

Implying this isn't music because there is no vocals.

+1 Real music doesn't need vocals, or to even be in your language...

God knows I've tried... but this kind of "music" just sounds like a mix of 56k modem dialing in, factory noise and transformers making sweet love.

How do you even dance to this?

Well, I used to like dubstep USED too, but then I just grew up and went into the real world of music, but still stayed to the genre I like best; Electronic, since I don't really like it, it doesn't mean that others shouldn't listen to it, the world of music is open to everyone, and everyone has different tastes, don't judge someone of their opinions. But I'm just gonna put out my favorite artists of all genres: Savant, Julian Casablancas, Adrian Von Ziegler, Bob Marley, AC/DC, Woods of Ypres, and my favorite artists of all time, Daft Punk. ( HUGE lover ) and a little bit of honorable mentions: Monstercat is great, makes a lot of different genres of electronic music, I really recommend checking the above artists, some of them aren't that famous and deserve a little more attention. Oh yeah, Infected Mushroom is cool too ( No he's not dubstep, he's techno, said by himself )

Angerfist is not speedcore, that's mainstream Gabber typically.

Komprex, m1dy, Kobaryo, do speedcore.

Drum n' Bass > All

Etherwood - Begin By Letting Go

Hybrid Minds - Forest

Fred V & Grafix - White Lies

Bcee - Captured In Time

Wilkinson - Every Time

Etherwood - Weightless

But everyone has their own tastes, so don't shit on somebody else's choice of music.
