This goes against the stereotype for precision and punctuality but it's true. At least, according to "Mind the Gap! Europe's Rail Operators: a Comparative Ranking" by transportenvironment.org

As a German, I confirm.

That's because we also need to fulfill the stereotype that we tend to complain a lot. Germans care about punctuality, and the trains are never punctual; therefore we always have at least one thing to complain about.

You're not late! You're pushing on the train when it slows! (Though honestly, the train has been going at a good clip with everyone adding carts... Including this one! Thank you.)

German trains either arrive late, leave too early or are simply cancelled 😉

German trains are also sometimes on time, but only if you are too late by 1 minute yourself. And of course the next one then is late again :D
I once overheard a woman talking to her husband and saying "You have to be a bit of a masochist to take the train every day". xD

Yeah i really cant believe how people can use it daily or like if they have to catch a flight.

Trains here are (relatively) punctual, usually only late by a couple minutes. Busses, on the other hand…
