This game had great mechanics when it came out.
Fire burns anything made of wood (and after some time the wooden thing falls appart), so you can grab a chair, put it over a fire and then illuminate your path or burn something else. That alone was amazing back then, and I don't know any modern game that plays with mechanics like this.
The inventory and healing was great too, very immersive. You look down to your pockets where all your stuff is, and when using a healing spray you check your body for damage. You can see the leather jacket with a big hole and your wound there.
When you sit in a vehicle you can interact with the interior. I think you can turn on lights, checks the glove compartment and something else.
You can also manually close your eyes. There was a special monster that goes through walls and floors, and you can see it's path by closing your eyes. Damn, even when you start you are kind of disoriented (drugged, I think) and your sight starts blurring until your blink. Maybe an annoying thing to manually do, but it felt great.
Anyway, the game had negative reviews, wasn't that great as it appeared. I still would like to play it again, so thanks for the chance! And sorry for my bad english, I feel too lazy to check with a translator.
