That pretty much sounds like the whole reason I haven't bought Civ VI. I have V and am perfectly content with it as well as other strategy games why get VI, when I could spend my money on something complete or hopefully completely new and different.

Yeah, save your money... They are all good, but it's not like some multiplayer thing where everyone's moved on to the new one. Old Civ still works great. :) And if you're burnt out on the one you already own, a new one's not going to change that. :)
Plus, waiting gives you the opportunity to buy the complete version with all the dlc or expansions or crap included, for less than the base game costs now, assuming you're still interested in a year or two. :)

Ahh, sorry about that... :) I buy a lot of bundles and cheap crap, although occasionally a good game slips in by accident. Most of the time I don't even remember buying them... :(
Hmm, multiplayer stuff isn't really my thing, moba or otherwise, but maybe that was obvious... :) So I only remember reading about it, but don't remember what I was reading about. Some sort of tournament I assume, shrug. Oh well. :)

Hmmm, I bought those and still haven't tried one... :( They looked kinda side-scrolly, like some of the stuff I played a long time ago... :)
But somehow the whole Assassin's Creed thing never got my attention... I've watched my nephew play them, but I tried an hour or two of umm, whatever one it was, and couldn't get into it. Oh well. :)

Fallout. Any time I'm playing Fallout I have to ask myself why I'm playing it. Then I keep playing without coming up with an answer.

Hmm, you didn't say which one, so I'd have to guess Fallout 4 with all that base-building crap. :) That stuff kinda turned me off the whole game, which was probably not the reaction they were going for. If it came out today, there would probably be "micro"transactions to make your bases safe for 24 hours or something.
I was hoping for some more wandering around the wasteland type of fallout, and not all this crafting and base-building and whatever. :)

3 and New Vegas actually. I only played Fallout 4 during the free weekend, and all I could think was, "why the heck was my family taken away from me right when I was settling in?" I was mad. D:< Sure, the bombs dropped. Doesn't mean everyone had to become malevolent. Then I did some base building. It was kind of therapeutic. Kind of. I was still mad, though. Then I realized all the crafting didn't really work too well.
And yep, I'm with you. I was intrigued when I first heard about the things they were adding in FO4. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like a Fallout game a lot of the time and the dialog, leveling, and some of the quests seemed needlessly simplified. Will probably still buy it, though. And then continuously ask myself why I'm playing it. :)

I got the impression Bethesda couldn't decide how much time had passed, precisely - or maybe they just wanted it to feel post-apocalyptic, without worrying about any details, like should all these skeletons really still be in all these bathtubs? :)
To me, it seemed like they threw a bunch of unrelated stuff in their game, hoping to get people hooked one way or the other. :) Crafting, base building, no thanks... :) Instead of making the game itself so interesting people wanted to keep playing... :)
Some people love that stuff, though... Half surprised there's no loot boxes... :)

I took a look at my wishlist on the first day, but it's hard to remember why I wanted most of those games. Guess that's why they are still in my wishlist?
I'll probably buy something out of habit in a couple days, either some of the cheap stuff, or maybe something good so I can feel bad for not playing it... :)
In previous years you could check the Games Under $5 list for hidden gems, but not any more... Looking today, how many of those things are even games? And do ten renamed "UnitZ" count as ten different games, or one, or maybe zero? :)
Hmm... I was intending to try all the "Steam Awards" games I owned, since they are the good ones, right? Somehow it didn't happen. Looks like I even missed a few days of free cards, too.
Oh, I even forgot to vote for HuniePop, and after writing a review to get that stupid badge too. Oops. It's on sale in the Humble Store, but I wouldn't want to get any of that stinky bundle CV. Guess I'll have to give away the other stuff instead. Sigh. :(
Speaking of sighs, I finally installed Civ 6. Bounced off it a few times, then played some more. Mainly it feels like a Civ game, I guess?
When you're having fun in a game, have you ever taken a step back and wondered, hey, why am I playing this? If you've ever played a MMO "for real" you know what I mean... :)
Anyway, somehow Civ 6 felt just like that. I'm sure it's a good game, but I could have played Civ 2 or 4 instead, and used my money for umm, whatever.
