I wanted to activate my retail copy if NFSU 2...unfortunately they said it's too old and it's not available on origin :(

I'm trying to get my copy of Dragon Age Origins there just for the heck of it, but I get an error every time I try. It does recognize the key at least and doesn't say its already used or anything.

What if I don't find a game key anywhere, not in Steam or the Registry? Is there any other place I could find it? The game is Ravaged.
EDIT: This game is not published by EA, even though it's on Origin. Does that mean that it's Retail key won't work?

What about Secret world? Can it be activated in Origin?

You've said that you use origin so you have all of your EA games together in one place, and I can understand that. That's why I dont buy any EA games that are Origin only. I've already made that mistake once with BF3 and I wont be making it again. Sure I'd like to play Dead Space 3 and Mass Effect 3, and I will as soon as EA puts them on Steam.

So you see we both feel the same way about having our complete EA library all in one place. Yours is Origin and mine is Steam. And really all I have to do is wait EA out. There is only so long that EA's investors will put up with the lost sales from their PC games being Origin only. Third parties already bailed. EA claimed that they were ending their partners program, when in reality 3rd parties were being sent off to die by being exclusive to Origin. The service is a ghost town.

Wait, I'm confused. So, can I activated my Sims 3 Copy onto Steam? It's the boxed copy, so it uses Origin.

or better still, don't play games that need origin and keep that malware of your computer

ive been doing this for a longtime, put bc2 and moh on there. also swtor i didnt get via origin but was added there either with same method or by account linkage of some sort, i cant remember its been too long ago

Also note that if you have EA games that were published before a certain date (like BF2 ) they wont xfer to origin without help of support to add to your account on origin. most of these games are games bought at retail and never on a certain service like steam at that time

You can add BF2: Special Forces to your Origin account using the old game activation page but not BF2 itself. Huh, weird.

Also Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 - Uprising doesn't have any CD-key on Steam. Tried to activate it on Origin via Live Chat twice - no results.

How do they deserve all the hate they get?

I contacted Chat support today to get them to add my copy of Bad Company 2.. they had some trouble but finially said that its already active on my account..
.. but it doesnt show up in my games.
Not sure the fix to this as I had to go.

Thanks for the info! I'll have a look through my games and see which ones I can activate on my Origin account. I do love having backups, just in case I loose access to my Steam account for some reason. You never know, especially with some of the downtime it experiences. :p

Thanks for this thread! I would've never considered I could activate my copy of Dead Space on origin, now I can have all 3 games on a single client. (when I buy them, cheaper on Origin for me)

i am only interested in Mirror's Edge, how do i contact Origin support? i can't call them, too expensive.

No Sims 2 on Origin, so this helps me with nothing.

Only EA games I own on steam are Mirrors Edge and Alice Madness Returns

And i have to say Origin Suppor is x90% better then steam support...

Here's a damn good reason I won't install Origin. I'd rather not have EA scan my computer AND my browsing history. Call me paranoid if you wish.

Well,i don't use origin because i think steam it's better,it has community section that it's cool,you can chat with your friends and chat with them while playing,and also origin it's slow...as...fuck. Everytime i check remember me and i close origin,i have to login again and to wait 2 minutes for see ONLY THE FUCKING LIBRARY! WTH origin has only a fu*king library and offer of the day... that's it,the games are on origin AND on steam,and i don't think there will be some more exclusives for origin.
