What the hell, you drank beer for the first time at 20? Its an acquired taste. A lot of people don't like it at first, but then you get used to it and start to like it. Thats what happened with me. Now I like it a lot. I'm also 20 by the way. It really depends on the brand though. Cheap beer like PBR, Busch, Bud Light, Miller Light all taste watered down and kind of nasty. The best beers are in 6 packs from grocery stores and aren't the huge ones on commercials. The only huge one thats good is Yuengling and a bunch of types of Blue Moon. I can't believe you didn't try beer until now haha. I tried it when I was 14. I was also a pretty rebellious kid though.

I find anything with alcohol in it just tastes like pure alcohol.

Doesn't matter if it's a shot of vodka or a glass of beer, the only thing I taste is the alcohol and it turns me right off from the rest of the drink. You know what the worst thing is? Years of people saying "Oh try this, you can't taste the alcohol!"; yes you can. Or "Oh, you just tasted the cheap stuff, try this!"; nope, it's all the same.

OP, if you don't like beer then just skip it. It has tons of calories (beer belly is called that for a reason), isn't very good for you, is expensive and tastes gross. You're missing nothing by never having another beer.

Alcohol doesnt taste good. Beer takes a few times to develop "a taste" for it, which to me, means it's not worth drinking

That is like trying one type of cookie and saying you hate all cookies! There are different types of beer. I hate all light beers but I love dark beers they tend to be smoother and more flavorful. You can't just try one type of beer then write off all beer.

so what ? u didn't like it, hundreds of millions including me do, I don't like wine myself cuz I think it's a sweet drink for women and pansies, the ancient and medieval times are long gone and even back in those days nobility mostly drank it simply because the "drinking" water was often poisoned and source of diseases
but yet, it's just my opinion and I'm certainly not creating a topic here to offend people who like drinking it..

Cheap beer is quite nasty. You should try a dark beer with less hopps in it. You might like it a bit more.

Tasted beer in 12-13, can't say I liked neither.
