Should I even bother?
They're dead.
Probably.
Until you bring them back. Your story has just begun.
\Steam\userdata\numbersforyourID\7\remote (it is time to back up sharedconfig.vdf these days in case this happens. It happened to me a few weeks ago, but I had an old back up for some reason)

It was just this computer, my other computer still had them, oddly enough. But the ones here came back after a couple restarts. It had me worried, though.

Yeah, I restarted a couple times and it's back. That was weird...

I had a few categories, but my Steam Client crashed and when I restarted it, all of my categories were gone, including my Favorites... :(
I don't know if they're gone for good, but I tried to restart again and they're not back? Maybe I should check on one of my other computers? Or wait? Idk...
