Excited for the release of FO4?

YES!!!!!
No...
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Alas, I played the original two Fallout games years ago, before Steam, and own all of the games except Fallout 4, but they remain on my backlog for now. I just don't have the kind of time to dedicate to such a deep game series right now...sad, I know :)

Since I'm an evil nitpicker: is there a deadline? Do the screenshots have to be on steam?
I didn't plan to partecipate but now I simply must draw a rad filled budgie :P

I won't enter, because I suck at drawing and I doubt screenshot/playtime alone will be enough. Thanks for the chance though!

Regardless of ones drawing skill I accept all ^.^ It's more based on creativity than ones skill. As for playtime your 39 hours is plenty :P

Last time I drew something it was so catastrophically bad that it counted as an eschatological event, so i think I'll still have to pass. Is something like Photoshop acceptable? I have an idea...

I'm not interested in the GA, but just using this as an excuse to show you my art.

The Loth
Just after creating the supermutants, The Master sent a squad of them, carrying a large quantities of FEV, to Central America where they came across the Sloth Sanctuary in Aviarios del Caribe. There they subjected all the sloths to the FEV. The Loth, as they came to be known by the unfortunate souls that came across them, gained a great strength and an appetite for flesh. Side effect of subjecting the sloths to the FEV is that the coprophagous moths that inhabit a sloth's fur mutated as well, and decided to stay near the Loth as their companions. When the survivors meet a Loth, they're entertained by its slow speed. That is, until a swarm of Muth (formerly the moths) raise from the Loth's fur and descend upon them in a gory feast.

Oh wow, that is super generous of you! I was a late bloomer on Steam (just 2 years), so all my obsessed gametime in the series has been done on consoles, so no screenshots. But, I'll work on drawing for this! Have a bump in the meantime! :D

This is a nice idea. :) This is a really creative way to get people into the giveaway while finding some great creativity and entertainment along the way. I like it.

While I do own every Fallout in Steam (with the exception of 4) I haven't played any here. I have the physical copies of the original 3 that I played and beat while 3 and NV were on the Playstation 3. Even BoS for the original xbox as shown in my old thread.

Regardless, just thought I'd ramble about my love for this franchise and my appreciation for your generosity, aurorable. I can't wait for this game! :D

Well FO3 is probably my favorite game ever, I had more than 100h in that game and I bought it on steam for "collection".
I've tried FNV but tbh I don't like it (damned obsidian)

tl;dr I have no screenshot or playtime to show and a toddler can draw better than me, so I'll give up :c

I'll probably wait the release, looks it's well optimized and buy it at full price, it's ubber-expensive but it's released on my birthday, hakuna matata :V

Anyway that's a nice idea, good luck everyone else :3

I'm level 5.
I got no shady or fake giveaways
I own all Fallout games on Steam (except 4)

The rad animal I would make would be the Radssowary based off the Cassowary Picture here for reference If you've ever played Far Cry 3 then you know how they look and why they would be a cool yet terrifying addition to the Wasteland (though I don't know how they would fit in the category)

I would see them as the basic Cassowary, but instead of that Red thing dangling it would be a sickly green due to radiation as well as pus and boils around that part of it's body. It wouldn't even have it's full fury it would be patchy and missing some bits to show how the radiation has affected it. Granted it would only grow a bit larger (maybe Super Mutant or Deathclaw size) due to it being pretty big already.
The little horn (or what ever the hell it is.) on top of it's head would possibly be serrated or even split in two for a headbutt style attack that can hold unlucky travelers in it's grasp while it ripped them apart with it's claws (which are pretty crazy long.)

Going to clarify though I haven't played much of the Fallout games on Steam. My first one was 3 on the 360 and I loved that game (Mothership Zeta is still my favorite expansion.) and I beat it and NV (though beat is a loose word since there was still so much to do in the games.) I loved New Vegas's Dead Money Expansion (even though a lot of people seem to hate it.) and I credit that to being the reason why I love survival games. Since in DM you feel lost and alone with only one weapon to your name and a seemingly invincible enemy roaming the streets while some streets are untouchable (well not really) because of the cloud ( I can't help but think of the Church of the Atom from Megaton.)

Anyways thanks for this hope I'm chosen to be in this lucky group.

Edit:: I hope I didn't have to draw since I suck at it. I'm better at displaying my thoughts through words then pictures. If you wanted both then sorry I have failed you aurorable

Drawing is not required, however if you would like to earn more points I would recommend doing the drawing or photoshop & as I said above creativity is what counts, not skill ^.^

Really liking Radssowary :D Awesome!

MS Paint for life! I don't really think, that I'd be able to do something more serious, but if you'd require me to do so, it wouldn't be done before the end of the weekend
Here I present you El Catrera (the name is my stupid little homage to Watership Down)! As you propably know, cats aren't exactly the most resistant creatures, so FEV and radiation had some visible effects on them. First one being their increased size. A regular adult catrera is about the size of a standard dog (think Rex/Dogmeat) and a legendary one around the size of poor old Gabe (in case that someone doesn't know him - Roxie for comparison)
Secondly, the species is lacking basically any kind of hair, caused by high amount of exposure to radiation.
El Catreras live in small groups consisting of the father, mother and kittens (up to 8 cats in a "pride"). The youngsters part their ways after the death of both parents to find a mate and create their own family.
Catreras feed mostly on giant mantises, various eggs and if they're lucky, they can hunt down and kill a coyote or nightstalker pup.
Their interaction with humans is mostly limited to occasional attemps in stealing food from small camps. Although, they usually don't attack unprovoked, they can and will flank you, if you decide to attack them. They aren't the strongest creatures in the wasteland, but their well musculed legs, make them a fast and potentially deadly predator. Additionally, some of the older cats have the radiation bite ability.

Excited? Heck yes!

I have 2 of the games on steam, but also boxed copies of Fallout 1, 2 & tactics!

Hm, rad powered creature. I think I'll borrow one that I created when I was 11 years old, which I created for the classic pen & paper RPG Mutant (it was due to my love for that game that I got interested in Fallout).

It was a mutated and highly intelligent turtle, who was able to communicate with humans (and if you wonder, no I was not inspired by TMNT/TMHT, but rather by my pet). It was not fast, but it was cunning, and its tough shell made it a very hard opponent to fight. Due to this, they were often enlisted as mercenaries or "problem solvers". It had long sharp claws on both its hand and feet, and due to it "evolving" from semi-aquatic turtles, was not only capable swimmers, but it could stay underwater for hours on end, making it very dangerous for enemies to cross bodies of water.
It was weak to cold weather though, and would become sluggish if temperatures dropped too low (this was a problem, as the pen & paper RPG I originally designed it for was set in Sweden). This meant that a crafty opponent could wait until nighttime, when it was colder before striking.

I'm going to have to see if I can't draw something later tonight, but if anyone wonders what happened to the mutated turtle, well let's just say that fumbling when throwing grenades and having a turtle shell is not a good combination.

I played FO and FO2, but don't own them on Steam. :( I only got into the series last year and started FO3 a couple of months ago. Got about ~65 hours in it on Steam. I'm trying to take it slow because I don't want it to end, so right now I'm in the middle of the main story.

My favourite screenshot isn't really of any particular moment in the game, but symbolic of the feeling I had while playing FO3 on the day that FO4 was announced. See here
It was just kind of a magical feeling knowing that by the time I finish FO3 and NV, I will have a new Fallout game to delve into. :) And I was so glad I finally started playing these games.
