How are you?
With all of the laid off game dev people, it doesn't sound surprising it's hard to find a job. It was so sad to hear about each dev place being shuttered. Maybe branch out to other job types, work on your own game, and do a YouTube on the process of making your new game...?
When my friend couldn't get a job in his industry, he just took something to pay the bills, then kept applying. Hope you have some luck soon.

Happy Cake Day! I know your situation is far from rosy right now, but I hope you can put your worries aside for just a while to feel good about your 8 years on SG. :)
As for career advice, it probably isn't the wisest decision to ask for it from strangers on the internet who don't know the details of your situation, especially when this is, at the end of the day, just a giveaway site for Steam games. If you're going to turn to the internet for help, maybe some sort of game dev forum would be better suited? Keep in mind that even the best advice would mean nothing if you don't apply it, though. I'm sure you've already had your fair share of advice in your life; it's up to you to make something out of it.
What exactly is a game dev YouTuber? Can you give a few examples?

Happy cake day and thanks for the train:)
On the bad side, I personally believe going to places near and handing personally still works better than online (depending on the size of the company) and to send things directly. Just search companies and send, instead of using platforms like Linkedin. That's my 2cents, wish you good luck:)

Hello everyone!
I've been inactive for a long time but I'm back (kinda, sorta). It's my cake day and I'm about to hit level 7 so here's a train to celebrate. You'll find that it's a bit lacking in terms of content because, well, I can't get a job.
The part where I rant (optional)
I got fired once again. Now that I've been through 4 companies in such a short time, I'm having trouble getting hired. I don't even get responses to my applications, it's crazy. I specialize in Game Dev (Unity, C#) + Performance Optimization and I've developed with Rust professionally before (Remote preferred but not a necessity). I'm not looking for a job on this forum, just looking for pointers and maybe where to find a career counselor that fits me, or even how to find and apply to jobs (yeah I'm that miserable). I'm primarily using LinkedIn but it has let me down.
I kinda wanna become a game dev Youtuber but I can't really think of any interesting content and it's very risky without a day job. Let me know what kind of content you'd like to see and I might just do it. Do you prefer educational, entertainment, or anything else? Please let me know down in the comments. Smash like and subscribe and ring the bell and bop it and twist it and pull it
The biggest train link you've ever clicked
