Same.
I fucking hate censorship or however the fuck you want to call it. I think "harassment" is a better term for it.
Whatever...

I can't really say what type of data and the purpose of it, without creating bias and ruining the test itself.
I can say we are collecting some values during your playthrough which correspond to the genre and type of game this is.
I can be more specific when the test is over, but the data would be invalid if i disclosed more at this point, sorry.

Will do.
Same reason i cannot reply to many comments of feedback, as some points that are being made are deliberate choices and part of the test itself :P
But as soon as we don't need more data, i will tell you what this whole thing was all about :)

The controls are weird, wasd for movement would be better. And I think the character should 'stick' to ladders without any additional input.

Sadly i am at this point not certain what would cause this error, all i can say is update your browser to the latest version or try a different one (Chrome and Firefox recommended).
Otherwise a download version is provided for you can try instead.
Thanks for the report.

The game ideal is good. Here are some of my personal feedback, other may think different:
-The switching weapon method is hard to use, should be better if one hand handle weapon type + movement and one hand to shot + confirm (P). CounterStrike is an example.
-The flying enemy (counter by Sprayer) is hard to kill and anoying. Lower its speed and attack rate should be good.
-The machine gun should be the normal weapon. Others will have limited ammo. This will make the game more logic and player will think before using weapon. Megaman should be good example here
Well, good luck with your bachelor :).

Ok, finished it. 59/60. Let's start at the beginning. I like the character, Corgi is fluffy and badass with those guns. The idea of rock paper scissors is neat, I did enjoy the idea. The controls are ok. Shooting could be implemented on the mouse left button but after a short while I got used to it. The physics of the character is good as well you can more or less feel his 'weight'. However I did experience a fps drop (online version), only once but I got hit due to it ;) The other thing that irritated me was gun number 4, the sprayer. It's weird to say the least. Shooting this annoying black orb was pain in the ass and was practically the only thing that made it difficult. So yeah. About the difficulty. 1 shot one kill should be working for the hero as well, the game forgives too much.

Project corgi? I love corgis!
There are some problems though:
When I try to run the browser version the red bar loads and then crashes the tab. Using Chrome Version 42.0.2311.135 m
When I downloaded the windows version the browser said "WindowsBuild.zip is not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous."
The game itself was interesting though, except for the flying blue guys, they can rot in hell >:(

Thanks a lot for the giveaway! I beat the game with all the coins.
Anyway, here are a few comments on your game:
Jumping physics seem to work really well. It feels responsive and it does not feel floaty or stiff (this is where most indie platformers fail). The only issue I had was that sometimes when you hit the ceiling, the character moves quite fast downwards. This feels a bit strange (but it's hardly a dealbreaker).
Arrow keys+space works quite well, but shooting & switching weapons feels a bit odd with that setup. It's not terrible, but having the keys a bit closer together would probably work better. P for getting rid of tutorial messages was a bit annoying though. Why not just use space?
I quite liked the different guns, and how they interracted with enemies. They all felt different enough, without one feeling awkward to use. If you decide to expand upon the game, why not introduce some basic enemies that are killed by a single shot with any gun? That way people can use their favourite gun for parts of the game, and then switch gun when they reach specific enemies.
And why not make the game public? While the game might not have enough content to be a commercial project, it's still fun. It could be used to advertise yourself when looking for a future job, showing that you understand the basics of game design, and could also be given away as a freebie if you decide to go indie, to get some free publicity.

Firstly, thanks for the feedback, it is greatly appreciated :)
While i do agree that parts of this game can be used in another project and released as a freebie, its current state has been built and coded for a very specific purpose, and therefore other elements have been neglected (time constraints) or deliberately changed in certain ways. Therefore yes, future development could lead to a public release - though for now the bachelor thesis itself will have to serve us for our "portfolio" needs.

Some technical stuff:
And a question from myself:
How long did it take you to make the game?

Yes, we found the coin limit bug to be the source of all these 60+ scores :) - though it will not be fixed for the remainder of this testing period :/ - oh and the cannons did once rotate as you say, but it created issues with a specific part of the test that i can't talk more about right now :)
The actual coding, designing, and bug fixing took about a month.
Planing and research took about 5-6 weeks prior to actually making the game.

First experience on this scale i'd say - last semester we did a smaller project, which was a small tower defense game where the enemies would react/change based on sound recognition from a loaded song (the actual sound recognition was done in Matlab, which was then loaded into Unity where the TD game was made).

Huh, interesting. It seems I'm on your blacklist. I can only assume this is due to having a differing viewpoint in some discussion, because I'm not really a controversial or overly confrontational person. \:3/
I can't really remark on the game given it was for data collection purposes, but screw that one coin, I'm not going back down there for it! xD
Also those flying black fizzler things were the bane of my existence. I think I see some things you might be trying to gauge~

Hi everyone,
Myself and 2 friends are in the midst of our bachelor studies, and we need test participants to try out our very short game.
We would love it if some of you would help us out with this, and in exchange for your helpfulness you'll gain entry to a Mortal Kombat X giveaway.
Here's what you do:
The data will collect itself, nothing required from you apart from finishing the game, though if any issues should we would love to hear from you and have provided a small form on the very same page mentioned in step 1, where you can post your comment to us.
Feel free to try the game as many times as you'd like also.
It should be noted that this is a key for Mortal Kombat X, and while it is listed as not region locked in general it CANNOT be redeemed in GERMANY.
This should not be construed as advertising, as the site itself is a temporary hosting place for this game, and will be pulled on May 24th, after which the site will be empty and the game will never be made public in any way or form.
We hope many of you will help us out, and wish you good luck in the giveaway.
Thank you.
