Farewell, Icaio. You will be remembered, and you will be missed.
I have put notices up for the Steam group we shared, SuperBianco.
If you wish, you may post comments either in the Announcement or the Discussion.

I didn't see anyone mention it, but it's ironic that he proposed a Permanent Community Train not long before his untimely passing, and now it looks like that has come to be after all. Imagine if this thread/train really is kept going for years as a permanent memorial, as if it were an official feature of the site, perhaps persisting indefinitely, long into an era when most of this site's userbase wasn't even here when he was.

This would truly be beautiful - not that it isn't already.

Hey all. I am going to start by saying that I do not have any more information than what I am sharing in this post.
EDIT: as it turns out, I do have some more information
ANOTHER EDIT, just a quick update
As some of you know, icaio has not been on SG for a while, and he hasn't logged into his Steam profile either.
I posted on his Steam profile a few weeks ago, just a quick note saying I hoped he was okay.
Yesterday I received a friend request on Steam from someone I did not recognize. I didn't see any obvious red flags, so I accepted.
This new friend sent me a message today, saying that they were icaio's cousin, and they saw my post on his profile and wanted to let me know that icaio passed away on September 30.

I don't think it's a stretch to say that icaio was an absolute legend of Steamgifts. His generosity, sense of humor and thoughtfulness came through in every 'showerthinking' post and every 'trash' game giveaway and every time he helped to solve a derailment in the community train.
Before I visited Rome a few years ago, caio volunteered to give me his mobile number so I could ask him real-time questions while I was in Italy. And that's exactly what I did! So we didn't quite get a chance to actually meet in person, but it was fun to chat with him while we were in the same country.
Not much more to say right now. Just R.I.P. to icaio, he will always be a Steamgifts legend.

The icaio Memorial Community Train™ begins here.
EDIT: ashtwo had the idea to turn my giveaway into the start of a miniature community train, which is a pretty great idea.
EDIT: here are a few giveaways from other users that haven't yet been retrofitted into the train:
wigglenose
several from BanjoBearLV
xxxka
eldar4k
