mine says this:
We sold out of Starbound; unfortunately your purchase was right on the edge. We are scrounging for more keys.
Please let us know if you would like a refund. Please make your email subject "Where is Starbound in HIB10".
so . . . maybe they'll get more keys and give me one? i would have bought the bundle either way, but i like terraria and starbound seems to be the cool new terraria so'd happily accept a copy. if they don't give me one though no big deal -- reus and joe danger 1 were both on my wishlist and i like to donate to eff. of course starbound's on my wishlist too ;)

Ahahaha no they won't
Ask for refund -> find 3 more people that want to buy starbound -> enter official shop -> buy it for 11$ per copy with steam key
Bundle isn't worth (IMHO) 10$ without Starbound

except they DID get more keys and now i have one!

got an e-mail about 2.5 hours ago that they got more keys and one was for me, so now i have starbound too!

I got starbound and if someone wants it they can add me on Steam and I'll give it to them.
EDIT: Gone.

Wait, there was starbound included to early buyers? Hahah . . . don't mind me, I'll just go to a corner and cry a little . . .

I bought mine when there was 900 keys left, so I do think they had 1000 copies.
You really think 1000 copies of something will drive the average up that much? normally Humble Inde Bundles sells like +500k copies, 1000 copies won't make a difference.

Someone took a screenshot of it, and I refreshed right when it was 2 pm EST
The picture clearly showed 28 bundles sold, with 725 keys remaining.
Those first 725 do make a difference though, it drives up the BTA right at the beginning so those that want to get the BTA games will have to pay more early on driving the price up, and it would only be brought back down if enough people buy it at $1 to offset the price. Humble Bundle has been becoming worse and worse when it comes to the cost, the BTA starts off at $5 or so, the first come first serve for a high price keys and no longer getting the extra games unless you BTA in the first place.

Well when I entered the site and bought the bundle it said 902 copies left, after the purchase was done it was down like 400 copies.
Well sure, the really early BTA-buyers might have had to chipped in a little extra during the first 15-30 minutes. But now it's pretty much back to the usual average for cross-platform Indie bundles.
The total payments (at the time of this post) is 168,903.45
Number of purchases: 27015
Average 6.25
Remove let say 1500 that tried to get Starbound for 10 each
The total payments (in this example) is 153,903.45
Number of purchases: 25515
Average 6.03
That's 0.22 cents!

You are totally wrong. Usually it's 3.xx for BTA at beginning, so this basically doubled it.
You have to account for everyone that purchases at BTA too, even without Starbound and this further increases (you have to beat average by one cent)

The “all time” average of all (nine) previous Humble INDIE bundles is $6,75. Don’t know the exact numbers for the average first hour purchases atm, but it’s not $3.XX on the Indie bundles, even though bundle 7-9 have had lower averages This 1000 copies thing did not double that the usual early average. It did add some to early adopters but the price did (and continue to) get lower as it usually does for the first 10-20 hours. After that it normally stabilizes for the rest of the first week (might fluctuate a bit)
Sure I have to account for everyone who did (and will) beat the average, like always. But the majority of the bundle buyers are paying less than the average. This did not change this time around.
And it’s kind of sad that people are arguing and complaining about a 20 cents or even 4-5 dollars “average raise” on a bundle.

How terrible of them to remove the bta games for early buyers, it is not like there were tons of people buying multiple 1$ tiers just to capitalize on that and sell them/trade them elsewhere.
HiB still beats other paywhatyouwant sites. Look at IG who gives just 2 games for minimum now, however they have a good reason to do that and I expect HiB to follow their example soon.

I would believe humblebundle would find it quite disrespectful too if people only visit when there is something to get.
Humblebundle announced it yesterday on their twitter that there would be a special tier. If you would be truly interested in that site, you could have known that.

You don't get the point of my arguments.
He cried and called it disrespectful that not all players hat the chance to get the bonus game BUT if thats enough to be "disrespectful" then it's equally not respectful to be only there when there's something to get and not to visit the site between new bundles. because all people who informed themselves yesterday knew about the extra tier.

I like Humble Bundle, so I check their site every Tuesday and Wednesday (for normal bundles) and Thursday (for weeklys) sometime between 11 and 11:05 just to see what's going on. Even if I'm at work and can't actually purchase a bundle until I get home, I still check. So people who got it are either ones who care enough to look, or to be informed through other channels).

Didn't know it had happened 'til just now. Oh well.

They had Starbound? That could explain the higher than usual BTA when I first looked (when IsThereAnyDeal e-mailed me, ~2.5 hours before Humble e-mailed me just now (and I'm kind of disappointed Humble took so long). It was around $6.50, but it's usually more like $5 in the beginning. There's no mention of Starbound in Humble's e-mail, so I didn't/can't get it.

They have started to give out more keys, so if you were a "unlucky" early special tier buyer then check your account again, there might be something there for you! This applies only if you "missed out" on Starbound (and if the HB page said that keys were still available)
and if there's nothing there for you: email them with your payment ID. You should get an auto-reply. If possible locate the case# (bottom of the email) and give their support twitter account a tweet (include the case #!) they usually reply faster on twitter.
You can also ask for a refund if you rather do that, just make sure not to reedem anything if you do.

I just received mine a few minutes ago o/
That's why I love Humble bundle, their support team is fast and nice.

For a small team they are doing an awesome job... Try to send an email to Steam or Ubisoft and you will see... They make you waiting for weeks...
Everytime that I sent an email to Humble Bundle their answer is fast and friendly.

So Starbound is all gone now I assume. Excellent. You all have saved me money by taking all of them Starbound so that ten dollars will go towards better things. Thank you.
Skipping Humble Bundle X.
