Wow! Welcome back!
Any suggestions for the rest of us? Other than using multiple passwords?
I generally use throw away email addresses and a couple super simple passwords for random stuff im interested in, but not entering any personal details, or CC info. For those i use higher level passwords, and the highest for things like bank account and such that deals with money regularly.

I think some of you wondered what happened
We did indeed (Ironically in your thread about Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator). Sounds like a terrible ordeal you had to go through and I'm glad you got everything sorted out.
It's good to have you back, Wiggle. Take care of your online credentials. ;)

Glad you got your account back after all this time. I hope you didn't get too much taken out of your steam account in terms of steam wallet and cards etc. i hope you have different passwords now for your various accounts now. Better to be safe than sorry!

Wiggiebaby!
Glad to see that things are in order now. I'd suggest keeping an eye on who uses your computer. Perhaps have it that only you do with the things that you need. Have a completely separate computer for things that you share with others (Including shared use with other people in you household).

I'm sorry you went through this situation, but I'm glad you're fine and that things are fixed for good now. Welcome back! =}

I certainly wondered. Glad to have you back!
I'm guilty as well for not having Steam 2FA because I don't like installing applications on my phone, and for niche purposes at that. I do keep different passwords for different websites so hopefully that mitigate things a bit. Good to hear that the issue you faced got sorted out in the end!

As some might have seen or others might not care (or know who I am)
I was banned for just around 1 - 2 months and I think some of you wondered what happened so I'll explain:
I had a hacker on my e-mail account - well one of them I used for business things but the dumb thing was that the password (and stupidly the e-mail address as well) was one I used in many places including Steam
I saw them delete about 20k of e-mails form maybe 10 + years (I don't clean folders very much) in real time and got sent the usual threats and told my local tech guy what had happened and he helped me a lot as did my son
I had someone claim they had videos or photos of me which made me laugh because I hardly have any photos of myself in private - they then asked for some money about £50 in Crypto of course - which I did not send them
After time I got most of my accounts back - the important ones anyway - Spotify, Twitter, Twitch, etc.. Made a new gmail for business things that only really gets sent to people who need to know
But couldn't get Steam back as they had put a app that I didn't have for 2fa on it - my phone is a basic one that I only really need in emergencies - no apps or games etc... but I like it being simple
But the other day my son managed with the help of the staff at Steam/valve who helped us no end first lock the account and then confirm it was my account - so I have it back
I would like to thank the mods who acted so fast to protect the site and other people from my hacker who for a few days (no doubt when he thought he could still get the money/coins money from me) he sent some messages and links no doubt to try and get their accounts as well - I don't know what kind of messages - but I hope no one got hacked because of it - if they targeted you then I am truly sorry
I am back - if I go again you know why - but hopefully I am here for the long time again and I would like to say thanks once more
Update: Thank you - to all the people who were concerned about me and my account - I will try to add a nice giveaway here over the weekend to say proper thanks - it is super nice to see how many people actually like having me around (I hop and not just for my giveaways) but as a weird online person they sort of know
