Nintendo 2DS Charging Time

I finally bought my Nintendo 2DS today, and in the manual, it said to charge it, before turning it on for the first time, which I have done.
Does anyone know how long the charging usually takes?

Boo, that takes the fun out of life! Although if you didn't bother buying an actual 3DS then you must not be a fan of fun =p (joking before the hate rains/tiny knives start to rain down!)

I didn't buy a 3DS, because the 2DS is cheaper, works the same without the 3D (which hardly anyone uses) and it looks kool.

You can turn it on while it's charging.
Battery life is shorter than the 3DS XL's so I'll assume 25-40 minutes.

GOt a 2DS for Xmas. Love it. Son has a 3DS. NEver liked it but enjoyed the games.

As for the charging - I plugged mine in for a few hours but you can play while its charging. No harm.
