most of the DCAU stuff is pretty sectioned off. Batman TAS is a great starting place because they created their own character Harley Quinn that became cannon. Justice League before Justice League Unlimited but beyond that... I don't see much that's really dependent on stuff that's come before. Work your way up to The Dark Knight Returns Pt 1 and Pt 2 because good lord was that awesome.

I've been planning for years to watch all the television shows and films that make up the continuity of the DC Animated Universe. However, I am not sure in which order I should be watching them.
I know I start with Batman: The Animated series, but where do I go from there? Do I then move onto the 4 Batman films or should I just watch everything in order of original air date?
