Just noticed that a few days back, my Steam account celebrated 5 years. Since I never did a private giveaway before, figured that was as good reason as any to start.

Instead of just giving games, figured I ask, how old is your Steam account and did you create it specifically for one game or because someone told you about it? The reason I created a Steam account back then was to keep in touch with some friends and family. Back then, I was mostly a console and mmo player so didn't have much need for one, or saw the need for it. It wasn't until about 2 years ago that I started using Steam not just for chat but gaming as well and I'm glad I did.

Anyway, without further ado, 5 years of Steam, 5 giveaways. All of them (minus the whitelist one) are level 5+.

Dark Sector

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Premium Edition

LEGO® Jurassic World

The LEGO® Movie - Videogame

Please bump the thread, thank you :)

I made my account 4 years ago specifically to play Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion and that was one of the only games I had for the first two years.

I've put over 600 hours into it if that's any indication. ;) If you enjoy 4X strategy games I'd definitely check it out.

My account is 2 years old, when L4D2 was free for 48h on steam (December 2013). It was the main reason, because I loved that game so much, I was always playing on Cracked servers (yeah I know booo...)

I never thought about signing up on steam because I didn't buy games at that time... Since then, things has changed and it's the opposite now :)

8 Years, created for counter-strike sourceback in the days.

Actually my current account wasn't my first account I had my account with half life 2, cs1.6 and then I got css on there and then my brother started playing css on my account. So instead of having to share the account with my brother, I just bought another csgo copy for my current account and gave him the old account.

That other account has 11 years on it and was created for cs1.6.

Congrats!

Congrats dude. I've also been on steam for 5 years, created it in highschool for the orangebox. IIRC i think i wanted it so i could play games that required the source engine (garry's mod etc.) but i soon fell in love with the half life series after playing it.

Apparently it's been 2 and a half years for me. I think I made a steam account for when Puzzle Pirates went onto Steam, just to collect an in-game achievement for logging onto PP through Steam. xD And now I'm actively creating a backlog because I'm addicted. ._. Also, happy late factory day!

I can't enter any of them but congrats on 5 years :)

I originally set up an account to play Portal 2 on my PS3 (I have the psn_ of shame in front of my username) but it was the first Portal on sale for free that really got me started using it on my computer.

On a side note, apparently my 5-year was four days ago and I missed it!
