And I must say, it's actually pretty cool so far! Anybody else on here own it and play it? If so what are your thoughts on it?

EDIT: My people can never seem to be happy! All they want to do is worship worship worship but I can't get enough priests to tend all of my temples! Why can't they just all be atheists!

EDIT: I have now built a prosperous Nile Civilization! I feel like a pharaoh! This game is kinda fun. Maybe I'll put up a giveaway for it sometime...

Alexandria used to be the ultimate troll giveaway on SG because you could put one up for three weeks and it would be sitting there with 0 entries and a couple dozen comments, taunting everyone.

Now some people have actually got copies of CotN (I personally have given away four copies, out of the nine ever given on SG according to the stats, of the base game), so it's more interesting now, but it's still in the single digits.

IT's sort of like SimAncientEgyptianCity, only much more focused on the citizens as actual people rather than "you need to build more commercial zones."

It's similiar to Pharaoh and the Caesar series, AFAIK several of the people who made CotN even worked on those titles as well, so the similarities are not that surprising. :)

I only heard of the game because of the Alexandria DLC giveaways here but I am really glad I did hear about it and bought it.
The game is amazing, if you like slow-paced city-building games like Pharaoh, Caesar or the Anno series than you'd probably love this game.
