I very often find 1h/€ to be too long :P Most games can't support that length, even if you buy them at 10€.There are of course plenty of exceptions, but most games tend to overstay their welcome, with me wishing they were shorter, when they start approaching the 10h line.

Yah, thing is I don't base it on the games retail price though, I just rarely buy games the moment they release, and instead wait for a sale to get the value. I still have tons of games I haven't played, so never in a rush to get anything.

10€ would, in most cases, imply a major discount, after a price drop, for a big budget game. For an indie, 10€ is a normal base price, or a price after a minor discount though.

(As opposed to a game that significantly overstayed its welcome and pissed all over the carpets but you still kept it around because you're an achievement hunting nut like me... cough The Binding of Isaac cough).

I don't mind width either. I know some people prefer a narrow linear experience and some a wide open-world one. I'm fine with either. :-)

Awesome games. Quality of content is how I judge a game, at the same time some terrible games technically are just a blast to play so I always preface recs for music, games, movies, anything. ex.
His voice is terrible but he picked a musical style that it can hide behind and personally wrote meaningful lyrics

The main storyline was cliche but every inch of exploration and nearly all combat was fleshed out and fun to play around with.

I like both long and short games. I typically have a long game running, usually an RPG, and will take breaks and play shorter games. I don't like to take too long of a break from an RPG because it's hard to "get back into character." When I finish a long games, it feels weird not having it to play anymore and it takes me a while to find something else to get into.

There are some people who like to measure the value of their games in how long they are compared to how much they spent. Personally I'm not a fan of this, I would much rather pay for a short game that's engaging all the way through, than a long game that's just engaging most of the time. Of course, everything has its limits, but I feel like it's better for a game to be as long as it needs to be, than pad out its length with filler content. Case in point, Mafia 3 would be a lot better if they had skipped the whole "take over the city" part, and just had the story missions. That's not to say that games should be short, imagine if Pillars of Eternity had been a 4h game, that would not have worked with that kind of story.
But here are some giveaways for some games that are not super short. Do note that I am asking something of you if you're winning one of these, so read the descriptions.
