I don't recall seeing this thread around here and I think it's a pretty cool one. You can either recommend someone a game or advise someone not to waste one's time on it. I'll start.

Mark Of The Ninja - A very good stealth-action game. It's like Splinter Cell but in 2D. Although I admit there were times when I was a little bit bored. Overall it's a very good game. Solid 8/10.

Here's a collage of all games I've beaten over the years on PC:

Tales from the Borderlands. Wow that is a really, really good game. I'm thinking about playing it one more time. Definitely a good game experience. And to be honest this type of story telling game is for everyone. It is like a interactive movie, or a TV series :) Good fun!

Witcher 3, after running through Witcher 1 and 2 for the first time.

After 200+ hours of Witcher games I figured I'd be ready to move on, but after I beat it and the DLC, I just want Blood and Wine to come out.

Sonic Lost World - I have mixed feelings about it. It could be absolutelly great if not for some not most important but still annoying things. First of all - the most important part - platforming - is great! Both in 2D and 3D parts it's responsive, levels are imaginative, like always in Sonic games give you choice between many routes, encourage exploration, replaying, have score attacks and time runs - a lot of fun. Only nitpick I have is that there are very few really fast parts, I'd expect more of them from a game about extra-fast hedgehog ;) Graphics are mediocre. It can be easilly seen it's a WiiU port and that WiiU is not a powerful machine. In some parts it looks worse than older Sonic Generations. Now to actual problems. First off story and enemy characters. Sonic games were never known for great stories and you don't really need epic tales in a colorfull platformer, but this game takes the crown for the most stupid, boring and unimaginative plot ever presented in any Sonic game. Top it with the worst enemies ever (they are the most cliche baddies you could ever think of, have nothing to them except for one atribute that 'defines' them aka this guy is a glutton and only want to eat, this guy is an emo and hates the world, this chick is totally self involved and wants to polish her nails all day long) and it becomes really hard to get invested into the story at all. Another big problem is total lack of any tutorial, in-game explanation, actual tooltips, important UI elements etc. For example - you do missions and collect items which you can use later on. But game only show you an icon of an item without any explanation what it does. You have to either memorize all the icons or alt-tab to check items in the internet all the time. Another example - game introduces new mechanics and expect you to use them without even informing you you can do anything new. Like you don't learn anywhere what is Sonic Kick, how is it any different from Homing Attack (their animations are very similar btw, so you can go for most of the game not even aware you have two kind of attacks), or you are never informed that you can charge your homing attack and do it up to 5 times. Then you are simply presented with a boss that wil require first breaking his defense with Kick, then moving him through platform with charged attacks, then kicked again, then charged up to 5 then attacking. And you never even had to use any of these mechanics before, you don't even know you have such attacks. Again you are forced to look for guides and manuals on the internet, because withou them you are simply wasting your time. It's one thing to learning boss patterns, it's another to trying to beat a boss which requireds you to use special attack you don't even know you have because the game never informed you about it. That being said it's still a good platformer. it could be great, it could be SEGA's version of Mario Galaxy, but as it is it's only good but I don't think it will become a cult classic.

as surreal as it may seem. the last game i beated was last year, dungeon siege 1 with the legend of arana expention ( moded with the legend convertion mod to play the first game with the graphic of the second game * dungeon siege 2) unfortunately, i could not port my characters to dungeon siege 2 after world of arana because the mod programing are lacking in that way.

Today: Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler-
Well balanced RPG Maker game (I love those and won it on SG a few days ago) with tough bossfights.
I really liked the graphic style and characters as well and purchased another copy that I could either use for trading or to give it away during an event.
Sadly doesn't have any achievements. :-(

Just beat 'Human Resource Machine'. I didn't have much going on today, so I played the whole thing (although there's one puzzle I still haven't done and two achievements for better solutions I still want to unlock).

It's a good little puzzle game, especially if you like programming-like puzzles: this really is a rudimentary form of coding.

Grid
Terrible series on a constant existential crisis, but i always have a space in my heart for this one. All things considered Grid worked on MP, it was fast and aggressive. The single player, is not that great though, being a successor to Toca, there is an attempt at making it simulation experience but the controls have an arcade feel to them
The Ai is just terrible, slow and tame, they take no chances. I played it in the toughest difficulty but that barely changes any thing, in fact it just cuts down on the replays which should be the gimmick of the game, it just makes no sense to me.

Shadwen - thoroughly enjoyed the game, although I would have liked it to be longer and for some more difficult levels

Outland in co-op. While the game was relatively enjoyable, the last boss basically ruined the whole experience for me. The difficulty spike was absolutely ridiculous.

I hate that, ridiculous bosses are my personal bane in gaming lol. I just had the same experience in a similar kind of game, Guacamelee. And Outland is (was?) high on my next-to-play list.

Anyway, last game I beat (100%) was Murdered: Soul Suspect. Fun, good story, recommended if you can do without action.

Well, you might still get some enjoyment out of it. Depending how fast you figure out a proper strategy, you could take down the boss pretty fast despite some moves being plain bullshit. I'm personally not a huge metroidvania fan (only played a couple of them), but this was just super frustrating. Plus the level design is just.. silly, to say the least. There are some areas that are "locked" until you acquire certain skills (normal for this type of game), but you'll most likely forget about them completely by the time you unlock those skills, especially considering how similar all the zones look like. And really, it barely even matters (unless you're doing it for achievements, in which case you might wanna just look up a map or something for the collectables)

Proto Raider - it ends on level 64 getting killed as soon as you start the level with the message "Check for updates! More levels coming soon". Not the best ending I'd say. When in game, the Esc key pauses it; pressing Esc again exits the game instead of closing the menu and getting you back in game. Terrible decision, Alt + F4 does the same thing. The art style could be better, I don't mind it's ASCII only but the chosen font is horrible, the one button gameplay is a nice gimmick for a while but ends up being boring within 10 minutes, the level design is horrible (some events are random leading to attempts impossible to complete). Don't waste your time on this, I'm sure all of you have better platformers in your backlog.

Her Story. I've been waiting to get it for a while (and I didn't have any money when the HB with it came out) so I already had some expectations. Love how it starts as a rather normal story, and then everything is really fucking twisted until the point where it's creepy.
