Did you ever consider letting donators be part of the group?
Kind of like in Unlucky 7, where people can be members despite having more than seven wins.
I'm way off the required mark and doubt that I'll ever get in reach of it, but I'd like to contribute. Not all the time, but it'd be a nice option for some quality giveaways.

Yes we did. We have a gifter in our ranks for years.
Also it is always possible to create invite only giveaways for our group members, sharing the link with group administration.
Regarding joining the group as a gifter, we will need to talk personally.

You don't have to have a BLAEO account to join or apply to P!M!
A BLAEO record is convenient for our mod team to have a look into all SG wins played by a person, especially if it is maintained with labels.
Having and using BLAEO has helped many users to arrange own backlogs, game libraries, approach to choosing games to play.

If you mean BLAEO profile, you don't have to maintain it if you don't want to, to apply or join Playing Matters.
Also I believe you applied before but then deleted your application and didn't accept my Steam friend request. We handled your application so if you don't mind, accept the contact from me.

I applied a few times, has been refused under mins, last time I took it as another no after week without reply. Since I am already banned by few groups, I don't really mind. Group is situated to keep together people who play wins, not being in doesn't mean I can't play them. I may one day try apply again if I will feel like it is good idea.

My first win a type of game that looks good on paper but turns out actually quite bad. I do like point&click adventures but in this one you have to control your character via keyboard which is quite clunky. 90% of the gameplay is just slowly wandering from one location to another. I suppose the developers tried to increase the play time this way. Might give it another try later though.

hello! id'd love to join, though i haven't actually won any games yet...

Hi there, I'm interested in joining this group. I think I meet the requirements.
My favourite SG win is definitely Resident Evil Village! Before winning it I had never played any Resident Evil games, but this was a blast from start to finish. It was even better that I won it on the day it came out so I got to avoid all the spoilers and enjoy the story.
Here is my BLAEO profile.

I am applying to the group. Won The Walking Dead, first episode. Never thought I'd love episodic adventure games, but this one is so good. Currently playing The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series and God I enjoy every bit of it! :D

Hi, we were following your application and during this time you have accumulated a number of wins which are not beaten. Before we could continue, we would need to clearly see that you are into beating your wins on SG. You are now way below our minimal requirements as well.

Hello! I was thinking about joining for some time already, so here I go. :3
My BLAEO profile. I try to post monthly reports of my progress, I also publish some of the reviews on Steam. My plan is to post them all on Steam one day, but now I am selecting the "better" one. ;)
My favorite SG win, that's going to be hard. :D It would be certainly The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut, played it first solo, then in co-op with my soulmate. Main duo has great chemistry and their talks are fun. Maps are large and full of hidden content and Easter eggs. Still some achievements left to open. Another would be Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth with amazing story, characters, graphics and soundtrack! I was totally captured by it and made two playthroughs (partially because of achievements, but also to see different outcomes). Next to mention is Ryse: Son of Rome, excellent game from ancient Rome. Route for vengeance is filled with a lot of barbarians to kill. I have enjoyed it very much!
And there are so many I really liked - Hand of Fate, Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan, observer, Stories: The Path of Destinies, The Darkside Detective... okay, I should stop with that. I am sure you catch my meaning. XD
I tend to play the shorter games sooner than the longer, as can be seen, but I will get to them as no SG win will remain unplayed. ;) Also, I have horrible habit of playing games in order, that's why Tropico 5 is still waiting for its time to shine. I plan to play the first games some more.

Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth was a great find for myself too. Not being a huge fan of point-and-click, and trying any of these games mostly out of nostalgia for the first games of my childhood, this game quickly stood out of the genre. This was all about the story, atmosphere, characters and their stories. Now when I remember the game, this is as if I read a book and dreamed about it.
Have not played other games you mentioned. Yet! :3

Can you please invite me? I have over 1000 entries and 0 wins :(
Tbh I'm not using a BLAEO account

Hey there! I've been interested in applying to this group for a long while now, but I wanted to let my SG account get a little older first. Since my account is now 2 years old with 13 wins and 100+ games given, you should have enough information to judge whether I'd be a good fit for your group.
I'll start with the information that you all requested. This is my steam profile page which is completely public and this is my BLAEO profile which I admittedly haven't updated since 2020.
My favorite SG win is hard to say. If we count anything that I got via SG (but not necessarily through an official giveaway), then definitely Hades. A user gifted me that this past December and I promptly lost all the rest of my vacation time to 100% completing it. It integrated the story aspect so well into the normal die-and-repeat formula of a rogue-like that I actually looked forward to dying just so that I could further the story more. As to the games which I actually won....maybe RE: Revelations? Or Shadows:Awakening. Revelations was the first RE game that I've ever played and I've since fallen in love with the franchise while Awakening was a nostalgia trip to all the old-school dungeon crawlers like Dungeon Siege and Diablo that I enjoyed as a kid.
Other potentially relevant information: I have played every game that I have won on SG officially or unofficially (I was gifted Hollow Knight and Sunless Skies directly from members via the forums just like with Hades). Most of these games I have played to 100% completion (or the equivalent; at least one game I won had a couple of bugged achievements) and I have only failed to complete a single game. I still have every intention of finishing it, but I admit that while I enjoyed it in small bursts, the game play quickly grew repetitive so it's been slow going. I am also currently a member in good standing in Playing Appreciated.
I am interested in joining more as a gifter than to enter giveaways. I love SG and the wonderful community here, but I find it depressing to look back on some giveaways of quality games and see them unplayed or barely played. I do events for my irl birthday and my SG cakeday where I like to give away a highly wishlisted game, but the request that the game actually be played always seems to upset some people. I always prioritize playing games that I win (or otherwise am gifted) over games that I purchase for myself out of respect for whoever gave them to me and I believe (although I would not swear to it) that I have at least started every game that I have won on SG within a day or two of receiving it.
And, of course, I have read and agree to all the group requirements and guidelines. 😊

Hello! Been chipping away at my steamgifts wins lately and am just shy of 60% of the list with >25% achievements.
BLAEO profile: https://www.backlog-assassins.net/users/yfilc
I've had a number of good games come through on steamgifts, but my favourite so far has been Fae Tactics. Quite a long game (~60 hours) with an amazing story, cute graphics, and super addicting gameplay. I'm a huge fan of turnbased strategy games in general.

Does recruitment still stand? Considering to join this group at some point, but want to know how the group stands in accepting newcomers. Thank you! Currently, I am striving to get in another group that focuses on playing the game, so this and that one would fall in hand well.

I'd like to apply, as I believe I meet the requirements, but I'm not the one to decide that. My unplayed wins are quite big games that require a lot of time and am keeping them for when I have more time and finish other games on the backlog.
My favorite game won that I had played has to be Drake Hollow. I've had a lot of fun with it and it's been a really nice and relaxing game. A close second I'd say is Yoku's Island Express, as it was something unexpectedly fun and the unique mechanics made it really enjoyable,

Playing Matters Recruitment Topic v3
Playing Matters is a group that values playing wins from SteamGifts. We hope to create a respectable and dependable platform to unite friendly and passionate gamers.
Our group is not so much about making giveaways, but about enjoying what we already have and sharing fun with like-minded people. We aim to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere in our group.
We fully encourage fun little chats to take place in our group giveaways. Additionally we have our own Discord server for our members to make new friends and enjoy each other’s company while also enjoying our wins.
Before applying to join our group, please make sure that:
How to apply:
If you meet the requirements mentioned above and want to join, reply to this topic stating that you are applying to the group and tell us a bit about your favourite SG win. It doesn’t have to be much - maybe a sentence or two.
Creating a BLAEO account is not required but we’d still like you to post the link to your profile if you have it, whether you use it actively or not.
We will have a look at your profile(s) and contact you in due time.
We hope to see you among us. Have fun winning games and playing them!
Please don’t send friend requests to mods or admins.
If you don't receive a direct reply within 7 days, your application is likely under consideration. Also, if your application is rejected please don’t allow this to break your spirit. Instead use it as a motivation to discover and enjoy new games among your SG wins. Who knows, maybe your next favourite game is right around the corner.
